Have you ever wondered about the origin of the term "Saber-toothed Tiger"? Join Museum Educator Dan Priore, in this Member Exclusive virtual event, as we explore the history of saber-toothed cats, and why this common name is closely associated with these fearsome felines.

Dan Priore has been a Museum Educator at NHMLAC since 2016. Dan grew up going to the Tar Pits and NHM, which first inspired him to study the past. With his background in classical civilizations and archaeology, he enjoys sharing tales about our cultural worlds and connecting visitors to Los Angeles' history.
