Grants

Are you a student who wants to visit the Rancho La Brea collections for your research? We now have small grants available through the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County. Please contact Emily Lindsey, Gary Takeuchi, or Aisling Farrell for more information.

Volunteers

Volunteers support behind the scenes at the excavation site, in the Fossil Lab, and in collections. No experience necessary! These roles are highly competitive and require an interview. Note: the volunteer application is currently closed for 2026 due to museum renovations. Please reach out to volunteer@nhm.org for updated information.
