Calling all Educators!
La Brea Tar Pits & Museum would like to invite you to the first Educator Workshop of the 2022-2023 school year! Educators will learn the myths & facts of La Brea Tar Pits through pop culture references, urban legends, and scientific mysteries we're still unraveling today! During this event you will have the opportunity to network with other educators over breakfast and enjoy presentations, discussion and tours by museum staff.
Educators will leave with resources for their classroom and a collectable pin! And the best part is: this event is FREE with registration!
- While we love welcoming your families to our museum, this specific program is intended for formal & informal educators who are adults (18+).
- This event will take place indoors and outdoors. Participants will be asked to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time. If you require accommodation to participate in this event, please contact schoolprograms@tarpits.org.
