Girls in STEM Club
La Brea Tar Pits invites curious young scholars to join us for our Girls in STEM Teen Program debut! As part of the founding cohort, a select group of 7th/8th graders will work behind-the-scenes with the Museum staff to learn what stories the Tar Pits tell and how these stories are important in their own lives. The program season will run from February 2025 to May 2025 with a meeting every month. Participants must be able to commit to attending all meetings.
Girls in STEM Teen Club information:
- Participants will be asked to participate in all 4 days:
February 23, March 16, April 20, May 11 - Participants must be in 7th or 8th Grade currently
- Application submission is required to be considered
- Program will run approximately 10am - 3pm on the listed days
- Participants will be provided materials required to participate
- Participants will be asked to bring a snack/food for lunch
Application Process
Participants must submit an application to be considered for this program and be able to attend all four event days. Applications for the 2025 season are now closed.
